AI voice agent cost per minute

What a minute costs on 6 developer platforms, read from each vendor's own pricing page. All prices are in US dollars.

None of these rates is all-in. Each one covers different parts of a call, so the lowest number is not always the lowest bill. The table says what each rate leaves out, and we don't add those costs in.

The table is ordered by cost per minute at 10,000 minutes a month, cheapest first, and vendors without an estimate come last. Commissions never change the order.

How to read the costs

Each cost prices every published plan at that volume and shows the cheapest one, then divides the monthly total by the minutes. The plan name is under the number.
The usage rate is the published price per minute. A range means it differs by plan.
“No estimate” means the vendor publishes no per-minute rate. We don't work one out from a contract price.

Pricing notes by vendor

Vapi: Read on vapi.ai/pricing on 2026-10-29. No success package is $0.05/min of Vapi hosting, with $5 of starting credit. The calculator uses this usage tier. Success packages are charged on top of the same hosting rate: Core is $29/mo, and Pro is 10% of the hosting fee with a $999/mo minimum, listed here at the minimum. Premier is priced through sales. The same page lists transcriber about $0.0095-$0.0099/min, model about $0.0077-$0.0452/min, and ElevenLabs voices about $0.0146-$0.0238/min. Those are not added into the calculator.
Bolna: Read on bolna.ai/pricing on 29 Oct 2026. Pay-as-you-go is 6.0¢ a minute (credits from $10 to $5,000; larger top-ups drop to about 4.5¢). Pilot plan is a one-time purchase: $300 for 6,500 min (~4.6¢) or $500 for 12,000 min (~4.2¢), billed in 30-second pulses. $5 free credit at signup. The rate covers bundled STT, LLM and TTS; telephony and the platform fee are added per minute and are not in the total.
ElevenLabs Agents: Read on elevenlabs.io/pricing/agents. Ongoing monthly prices, ignoring a first-month promotion that the page dated through 1 Nov 2026: Free $0 for 15 minutes, Starter $6 for 75, Creator $22 for 275, Pro $99 for 1,238, Scale $299 for 3,738, Business $990 for 12,375. Extra minutes are $0.08 ($0.16 when bursting past concurrency). LLM usage is extra and not included. ElevenLabs does not add its own telephony fee; your carrier still bills you if you bring one.
Retell: Read on retellai.com/pricing. The published band is $0.07–$0.31 per minute. The calculator uses the estimator's displayed example of $0.11/min: $0.055 voice infrastructure, $0.015 platform voices, and $0.04 LLM, with telephony at $0 on custom telephony. US Twilio telephony is listed at $0.015/min and is not included. Phone numbers are $2/mo. The first 20 concurrent calls are free.
Bland: Read on bland.ai/pricing. Start is $0.14/min with no platform fee. Build is $299/mo plus $0.12/min. Enterprise is custom. The rate includes LLM, speech-to-text, and premium TTS. Telephony is billed by your carrier or by Bland at pass-through and is not in the estimate. The pricing page says Bland is GDPR compliant with a DPA.
Synthflow: Read on synthflow.ai/pricing on 29 Oct 2026: 'Enterprise contracts start at $30,000 annually', scoped by call volume, concurrency, telephony and integrations. $2,500/mo is that floor spread evenly. No self-serve or per-minute rate is published.

Vapi vs Retell vs Bland

These three headline rates measure different things. Vapi's $0.05/min is labeled “Platform fee only”. Not in it: LLM, Voice, Transcription, Telephony. Retell's $0.11/min is labeled “Example stack”. Not in it: Telephony. Bland's $0.12–$0.14/min is labeled “Voice incl., telephony extra”. Not in it: Telephony.
